Look what I found.  Stephen Hawking pointing out that time's direction varies by the speed of the observer.  Speed IS direction up and down the hill in my universe model.

Everybody should have one!

This is where I keep my notes and such.  It is a work in progress, not a completed theory or paper.  I have notes to myself in it and idea fragments as placeholders.  It’s just a fun hobby!

Our universe is a grainy, 3 dimensional brane that was bumped by another brane in one ‘spot’, curving and pushing it INTO the 4th dimension (we call ‘time’) at the arbitrary speed of C (light speed.)  Our 3d brane was evenly full of ‘energy.’ (Or better, the impact caused vibrations in our brane at the speed of impact, C)

Let’s look at it in one fewer dimension:

Imagine our universe is a 2d brane like a red sheet of paper.  Now take a pencil, representing another brane, under the sheet and slowly push the middle ‘up’ into the 3rd dimension.  In this example, the 3rd dimension is another grainy brane.

As parts of the paper enter the 3rd dimension, they are entering our current universe.  picture the paper turning white everywhere that enters the 3rd dimension. 

This explains:

Matter / Mass / Light / Gravity / Dark Energy

All of the energy in our universe was created by the impact of the ‘pencil’ brane with our 3d brane - it is essentially the vibration this impact caused in our brane, traveling at the speed of C.

 

Matter is any energy traveling in the ‘direction’ of the point of brane impact .  Light is all energy traveling in the opposite ‘direction’.  ‘Energy’ is the vibrations of the grainy brane.

All energy not traveling in the opposite ‘direction’ of the point of impact would want to continue in a ‘straight’ line.  But the newly created curve in our brane (the sheet of paper) would pull its direction into the ‘time’ brane, curving the energy (in ‘time’.)  Since both our brane and this new ‘time’ brane are ‘grainy’ the energy can only exist in discreet 4d packets (observed as the Planck Length on our 3D brane - and the Planck Time in the 4thD.)  This would create an ‘eddy’ of curved energy, ‘trapped’ within the ‘Planck Box’ created by the combination of the 3D brane with the ‘time’ 4thD brane.  To exit out of a Planck Box, the energy must travel in the right ‘direction’ (which we call ‘speed’.)

What we perceive as mass is actually the curve of the energy into the 4th dimension.  Therefore, anything moving close to the ‘speed’ of light (an arbitrary speed given to our brane from the original impacting brane) would gain ‘mass.’  EXPAND THIS.  Why would energy gain mass up TO the speed of light but then be massless?

Particles

There are no ‘particles.’  An electron is energy trapped on our now curved 3D brane, trying to go in a ‘straight’ line, but being curved into the 4th dimension at the speed of C, and trapped in a Planck ‘Box’ made up of the fabric of the grainy 3D brane moving into the grainy 4thD.

When the curved energy is ‘moving’ slow enough in 3 dimensions, it is trapped within a Planck Box as it is forced to curve due to the expansion into the 4th dimension.

A Hydrogen atom then would be the amount of energy that that particular Planck Box can hold.  If you speed that energy up enough in the 3rd dimension (as you would speed up a particle,) you effectively orientate it in the ‘direction’ directly away from the brane impact point.  Which is the same as speeding it up enough to be able to go in a ‘straight’ line on the curved 3d ‘surface.’ And it become what we call ‘light,’ and not experience time change at all.

Of course, it would still have to follow the curve of the 3D surface into the 4th dimension, directly ‘away’ from the brane impact point (in 4D - we would not perceive this as any direction the light had to go.)  Meaning that ‘light’ would ‘bend’ to ‘gravity.’

Gravity

Every ‘particle’ - which is really ‘energy’ curved into the 4thD and trapped in a Planck Box - would be traveling in the direction of the point of the brane impact.  On this curved 3d surface, traveling into the 4th D at the ‘speed’ of C, this means that the energy is traveling in a straight line toward the point of the brane impact.  To us it would appear to be at ‘rest’ but moving through time, and it would have a strange pull, as ‘time’ progressed, toward every other ‘particle.’  This is because the straight line of every ‘particle’ converges on the point of brane impact, due to the curve of the 3D surface into the 4th dimension.

Knowing that ‘matter’ is simply energy moving along the (also ‘moving’) 3D surface NOT directly away from the impact point (thereby trapped and curving within the Planck ‘Boxes’) let’s imagine 2 planets sitting ‘still’ in 3 dimensions near each other (or anywhere in the 3D brane, really.)

They both are actually traveling at the arbitrary speed C with the surface of the brane into the ‘time’ dimension.  Since this surface is curved from the point of impact (and ‘pulling’ the rest of the brane into the ‘time’ dimension with no apparent elasticity of the brane) the two planets are actually traveling in a straight line toward the point of brane impact.  Because the 3D brane is expanding into a 4th dimension, this means the two planets’ straight lines in 3d space actually converge in the 4th dimension.  They would appear to us to be pulling at each other in ‘time’ which is what we perceive as the ‘force’ of gravity.

Gravity is not a force.  It is our perception of the curved energy ‘moving’ in the direction of the original brane impact.  ANY energy not moving directly away from the impact point will be moving in converging straight lines, due to the curve of the ‘sheet of paper’ (our 3D brane.)

The sheet of paper example breaks down here, because in our new 4 dimensions, speed is actually a direction.

Time Dilation

Now you stand on one planet, and I will stand on the other and start moving it through 3D space (I’m apparently very strong.)  Since the energy (‘particle’) wants to go in straight lines, still, and is already traveling at the ‘speed’ of C into the 4th dimension, any movement of the planet I make on the ‘surface’ of the 3D brane will ‘shift’ the ‘speed’ at which I am traveling into the 4th dimension.  I’ll be further up or down the ‘time’ line depending on my speed and direction on the surface of the 3D brane, compared to you and your planet.

It will seem to us that time has passed differently for each other.

Again, the problem here is that when we consider 4 dimensions, ‘speed’ and ‘direction’ do not mean what we are accustomed to.

The ‘energy’ wants to travel in only straight lines.  In the paper example, all energy / vibrations traveling in the directions directly away from the point of the pencil would keep up exactly with the pace of expansion into the ‘time’ brane (because this ‘energy’ is really C speed vibrations in the 3D brane.)  Thus, light would not experience time or mass.

Dark Energy

Looking from down the hill of the impact curve, we would see more of our sheet entering the universe, faster and faster.  It would enter anywhere that ‘matter’ is not, because of the 4th dimension.  

On the sheet of paper, we would see the expansion differently.  But in 4 dimensions, the expansion ‘speed’ would translate into the expansion ‘direction.’  And we know that energy traveling toward the impact point would appear as matter, with mass.  This tells us that the expansion ‘direction’, would be the same as light’s ‘direction’, meaning ‘everywhere that matter is NOT.’

So the universal expansion should occur more and faster in the emptiness between galaxy clusters, and speed up over time as more surface area of our curved 3D brane pulls even more of the still ‘flat’ sheet into the 4th dimension.

Hell yeah!

Explain more…

What does this predict?

It should predict ‘particles’ that fit neatly into the Planck Boxes, or whatever the ultimate graininess of the branes turns out to be.  The particles should always be explainable as ‘energy’ moving at speed C trapped within the Planck Box.

It might predict that all known ‘elements’ are actually this curved ‘energy.’

The other ‘forces’ then do not exist (Strong, Weak) their behavior should be explained as ‘energy’ moving and adding up into different ‘Boxes’ perhaps there are different ‘sizes’ to the graininess of the branes.  Example - electron proves Box size A, Proton, proves size B, two protons (helium) is really box size C, and so on.

Particle decay?

Why would a Box size X ‘particle’ ‘decay’ into a smaller size?  Is this due to energy leaking out?

Can ‘light’ energy add itself to ‘Matter’ energy?  How would that work?

Gravity

Gravity is not a ‘force,’ like electromagnetism.  It is the inevitable consequence of our three dimensional membrane, within which we are all trapped, curving into the fourth dimension.

Imagine a flat piece of paper on a table.  That two dimensional piece of paper represents our three dimensional membrane.  If you take a pencil and push up the middle of the paper into a hill, the membrane is now being curved into a new dimension.  As you push that pencil up, you are representing our universe moving in time, moving into a fourth dimension.

We - you, me, all ‘matter’ - are moving even when we think we are at rest.  Not just in the sense that the earth orbits the sun, or the sun orbits the galaxy.  I mean that even if we were to find a way to be truly still, we would continue to move into the fourth dimension, as more and more of the universe is created

All matter is moving at the speed of light at all times.  That matter can choose to use some of that movement within the three dimensional membrane.  Whatever amount of ‘speed’ is left over is spent moving into the fourth dimension.

As we move into the fourth dimension, it’s as if we are heading to the top of the hill in the paper example.  So if you are standing next to me, and not using up all of your ‘speed,’ and I am not using up all of my ‘speed’ (in the three dimensional membrane,) then we will both be heading to the top of that hill as the three dimensional membrane pushes further into the fourth dimension.

The curve of that ‘hill’ and the inevitable motion of the three dimensional membrane forces you and me closer and closer.  We experience this as gravity.
